We are delighted to announce that we won the ‘Surveyor of the Year’ award at last week’s prestigious News on the Block Property Management Awards.
This was particularly exciting because the award is not simply based on a business’ turnover or by how loud they shout in the marketplace. It takes into account their relationship with clients, and the way they develop their own staff, both of which sit at the very heart of everything we do here.
We are regularly asked ‘what makes a good surveyor?’ It often surprises people when our answer doesn’t include a reference to professional qualifications, competence or expertise. In our view, these are a given for any professional business. They shouldn’t set any surveyor apart from the rest. If we can’t tick those boxes we don’t stand a chance.
We believe that a great service from a surveyor is all about relationships. It’s about thinking what a client wants rather than what the surveyor can do. It’s about thinking what might cause concern before it even arises. It’s about great communication and leaving nothing to chance. It’s about sacrificing potential profit in the short-term to ensure that long-term relationships are developed into the future.
Those were the values at the heart of all the information we sent to the judges. We’re delighted they agreed.
