Reinstatement Cost Assessment Services

Overview

Our role was to assess the reinstatement cost in order that our client could insure the rather handsome building in its present state, ahead of development commencing.

As well as valuing the normal bricks and mortar, some banking related items were also included, such as a document lift (dumb waiter), 4 metre high security screens, and several built-in steel bank vaults with high security doors. Also valued for their replacement/reinstatement cost were a number of demountable partitions dating from the late 1980s and a few charming period features such as an impressive vaulted ceiling with a lovely plaster relief of Lloyds Bank’s prancing horse on the wall.

The listed neo-Classical façade dated from the 1880s and included an impressive level of ornate stonework and tiling all of which were included in the rebuild value presented to the client. We are now looking forward to our next RCA here, when the project has reached practical completion.
