Earl Kendrick North were instructed by one of our managing agent clients who operate nationwide. We acted as contract administrator to oversee an external repairs and redecorations project across multiple blocks on the estate development totalling around 100 flats.
The works involved the removal and replacement of 50 year old lintels above every window of this quiet 1960s purpose-built development due to external cracking that had been present in the masonry. The lintels removed showed signs of severe deterioration and were replaced by new zinc coated BBA approved lintels to ensure the future structural stability of the windows.
In addition to these works, EK specified for new PVCu cladding panels to be installed over the existing timber panels to restore the original appearance of the residential blocks.
The bay windows to the blocks also underwent asbestos removal and re-framing works of contaminated areas in line with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. Roofing works above the bay windows along with a full gutter clearance helped to bring the residential blocks up to its former functional and aesthetic standards.Contact Us
