Our EK North team were instructed back in 2019 to prepare a design that would gain planning approval to change the windows to this former Salford Hospital, that is a locally listed building and sits within conservation area.
The current windows are timber but a softwood had been used and the windows quickly deteriorated and warped meaning some would not open and some would not fully shut.
EK North worked with a window manufacturer and the Local Authority to prepare a new uPVC window that would closely match the existing dimension of the timber windows.
Given the size of the windows this was a tricky task but we EK North have just been informed that planning has been granted and we can’t wait to get this on-site on this one.
